One of the key challenges with the project was adapting the existing magazine content for use on the iPad. The articles themselves were fairly straightforward in that they were simply re-laid-out by the team at CondeNast Traveler. The fun part was taking static printed content like walking tours and listings and transforming them into mini-applications that lived cohesively alongside the articles.
